Award win for our innovative stand at Business SW

Never wanting to miss out on the opportunity to make a creative statement we took the bold move to man our stand at the recent Business SW exhibition using mannequins, ‘Max’ and ‘Maxine’. And we won third place in Best Stand Award for our efforts.
‘Max’ and ‘Maxine’ could see, hear and speak. They discussed visitors’ marketing requirements, gave them advice and arranged follow-up appointments.
The stand created quite a buzz of interest and intrigue, and while some were a little shy about being seen speaking to a dummy most visitors embraced the experience.
We were asked throughout the show to explain how we managed to make it happen. After all, the mannequins were able to comment on visitors’ clothing and have proper conversations with those they recognised. The ‘secret’ lies in a whopping £15,000 of equipment.
Our mannequins were another creative idea that we thought would be great fun as well as a way of demonstrating our creative and PR abilities. What we do with Max and Maxine now is another thing. If anyone needs a creative marketing idea then perhaps they can talk to us……
Katie Sanders built on her successful career in recruitment sales and carved a niche in the dynamic world of marketing and PR. Working as part of the marketing teams in powerboats, event management and medical data, she has switched to agency-side consultancy with Oxygen Creative. She was awarded Chartered status with the CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) in 2009 and manages Oxygen's Somerset office.
